Visit
Hagia Sophia, one of the greatest marvels of architecture,
Hagia Sophia church was built during the reign of Emperor Theodosius
and burned down in the fire of Nika Revolt in 532 A.D. In 1453, with
the conquest of Istanbul, Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror converted the
church into a mosque. Hagia Sophia Museum, the legacy of both Christian
and Muslim culture, was opened for visits according to the order of
Ataturk and decision of the Turkish Assembly of Ministers on the 1st
of February, 1935
Visit
The Blue Mosque, which is the only mosque in Turkey with six
minarets. 260 windows surround the mosque. Due to its beautiful blue,
green and white tilings it has been named the "Blue Mosque"
by Europeans. This mosque was built by Sultan Ahmet I during 1609-1616
in the square carrying his name in Istanbul. The architect is Sedefhar

Visit Hippodrome,
center of sportive (chariot races, athletics) events and political activities
of the old city. Obelisk of Theodosius, Serpentine Column and German
Fountain of Wilhelm II are the monuments that can be seen in Hippodrome.
Visit Covered Bazaar,
the oldest and biggest closed bazaar in the world, also
known as the Grand Bazaar, has around 4000 shops and over 60 alleyway,
covering a huge labyrinth in the city centre.
